The conference on "American Identities in Relation and Interaction" brought together over 50 scholars from Algeria, Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Taiwan, and the U.S.A.
Plenary speakers were Stephen Aron, Jean Bernabé, Christopher Bigsby, and Helena Maria Viramontes.
Thanks are due to all the participants in the "American Identities" conference for the quality of the papers and of the discussions they inspired. We plan to publish a selected number of papers in the 2012 issue of the review Anglophonia, which will be devoted to the topic "American Identites in Relation and Interaction." We invite contributions of aproximately 5000 words (30000 characters) for this volume.
